ABOUT THE ARTIST

Donna Johansen is an artist and designer who lives and works in Encinitas, California. Ms. Johansen is a former chapter president of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and founding patron of healing environments with the National Symposium for Healthcare design. As a former designer of healthcare facilities, she has always been inspired by the studies that demonstrated the healing qualities of art and understood early on that art is a critical element in healing environments.

Donna is currently an interior designer for Living Spaces Furniture in Vista, CA.

She also designs artwork for interior design projects through Art Trends Inc.

She has spent the last decade traveling to India studying yoga, meditation and healing to further her own unique healing art. She has recently installed a collection of her original artwork at the Thorp Institute of Integrated Medicine in Leucadia, CA.

Ms. Johansen’s work can also be seen at the Omni La Costa Resort, and at the Earth’s Elements Gallery in Encinitas and Carlsbad, CA.
