With honest communication, heart felt connection and universal flow,
we open into a space of ultimate possibility. This peace of artwork
was crafted by an artist and friend, Donna Johansen, and resides in
the private practice of Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Michelle Wolford.
The power behind this peace is clear consciousness. It has a way of
calming the chaotic mind, opening patients up to the possibilities of
life and into a space of inner reflection and listening. It is a
transformative peace.
Thank you Donna!

Donna created a painting specifically for me,
and for my office – where I treat
combat veterans for PTSD. (The sailboat is my motif, since my maiden name was ‘Sail’, and it is a wonderful metaphor for life.) Donna incorporated some very spiritual physical material into this painting, and you can feel the energy. My colleagues and my patients are drawn to this painting, and it just transforms the whole office. So far, my therapy seems more powerful and the results more clear.

I have been a fan of Donnas art work for many years. Her pictures are not only beautiful to
look at, but resonate with me on a much deeper level. This picture is my absolute favorite. Donna created this picture after many discussions we had about a new business I was starting called ”Meditate with Horses”. The first time I laid eyes on it my whole body started to vibrate and I knew I had connected through this picture to something much bigger than I had ever experienced before.

This particular peace I like to call “Diving Into The Deep”. The left
corner holds shades of blue depicting free flow, magic, lightness in
sight, sound and feel. The whisk of orange brings a new life energy
into the shades of yellow and green.
Patients love this painting, often stopping mid-sentence when they see it or reaching toward the
painting as if to feel the energy emanating from its canvas. I treat
a lot of new borns and many of them gaze at the painting in total
trust of me and the energy created.

I have a tremendously beautiful and inspiring piece of artwork by Donna Johansen. This art was inspired by a mystical poem, entitled, “In the Name of God,” written by Vincent Carver Gilliam and published in his book of poetry, Optics: The Mystical Poet’s Guide to the Science of Inner Sight.
The art is an amazing representation of the essence of the poem, expressing the search
and realization of Divine Love. I use this art for meditation—for connecting to the divine space within. As you gaze at the painting, you see at the base of the heart is the mystical symbol OM, which represents the primordial sound resonating throughout the universe. A red rose in the center of the heart is fully bloomed showing the light within, as crystals of light. Above the heart is golden light enveloping the last stanza of the poem:
“Love, Lover and Beloved
All turn to light
See this heart
It knows its prayer
A red rose is turning there.”
